UK map illustrates global impacts if warming exceeds 2 degrees Fri, 23 October 2009 A new map illustrating the global consequences of failing to keep temperature change to under 2°Celsius, shows that a global temperature rise of 4°Celsius above the pre-industrial climate average will see the land heat up more quickly than the sea, with average land temperatures of 5.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels.
